Dr. Deepa Ranganathan has been a Pediatrician and Neonatologist for the past 20 years, a Public Health Professional and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Throughout her career, she has had a passion for the global well-being of all children. As a Global Public Health mentor, Dr. Ranganathan has been a Medical Volunteer in Egypt, India, and Colombia providing service and education to the underserved. She is a Board member of the nonprofit Healthy Children, Brighter Futures and Co-Director of the Program to reduce Infant mortality in rural India through Home-based intervention. Dr. Ranganathan has been Chief Mentor and Board member with MDJunior since its inception in 2009.
Sangwon Suh

A teacher and former journalist, Mr. Suh teaches Humanities at Hong Kong International School. He has previously worked for Asiaweek magazine and has contributed to Time magazine and the International Herald Tribune.
Mr. Suh is an active mentor for the MDJunior Chapter / Hub in Hong Kong and faculty sponsor for the Global Youth Health Summit & Hackathon.
Kane Wu

Kane is a co-founder and lead data scientist at ThinkCol, creating innovative data analytics model and products for consumers and large corporations. Kane is keen on promoting data science in Hong Kong and is the chairman of Hong Kong Data Science Society. Kane also lectures at HKUSpace and teaches the course “Big Data and Machine Learning in Real Life Applications”
Kane is a Google Certified Data Engineer and has a master degree with distinctions on Business Analytics from Imperial College of London. Kane is also a New York attorney as well as a Certified Public Accountant.
Erica Esslinger

Erica is MDJunior's leader in creative strategy. She is a certified teacher in Georgia and started her journey with MDJunior as a chapter sponsor, and got more involved by joining the organizational team for MDJunior’s first Global Youth Health Summit in 2015. Erica graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Spanish and later a Master of Arts in Teaching from Georgia State University. Erica runs her own event management consulting, and brings a diverse range of experiences and perspectives to the MDJunior team.

Ram works in Google Data Engine as part of the Google Search Infrastructure team. He has had the opportunity to work across many product areas, including Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Loon an Alphabet Inc. subsidiary working on providing Internet access to rural and remote areas of the world. Prior to Google, Ram worked with a Washington, DC based economic think tank where he led the technology department and helped run economic literacy programs across the US. Ram started his career as a telecom engineer with his primary research focus in optical (optical interferometers) and microwave (3G/4G) communications.
Ram has a passion for traveling, hiking and road trips. His last hikes were in the Inyo National Forest in California among the ancient bristlecone pine trees, and Crater Lake in Oregon.
Hamlet Lin

Hamlet is a tech enthusiast and passionate educator based in Hong Kong. He is the Technology Coach and High School Technology Studies Coordinator at Hong Kong International School. Hamlet completed his AP Computer Science training in Atlanta, GA and attended a week long teacher training at Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Academy in Pittsburg, PA. Previously Hamlet was a Part time lecturer at the Creative Electronics Workshop in the City University of Hong Kong and a Digital Literacy Creative Specialist at the Discovery College in Hong Kong. Hamlet organized the first HKIS Robotics Challenge for the VEX EDR platform and led the HKIS Robotics team to join the Korea Robotics Challenge in Seoul.
A passionate tech advocate, Hamlet started the collaborative platform - engagehk.is with the tech coach team and has reviewed and restructured the intro to programming class with an emphasis on Design Thinking.

Dr. Fernandez is an accomplished and renowned psychiatrist, with training including those in MRCPsych from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, UK. He has had extensive experience in the field, as Director of a Substance Abuse treatment program, and Director, consultation and Liaison psychiatry in addition to his current positions. Dr. Fernandez's areas of expertise include Psychosomatic Medicine, Forensic Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology. He uses his expertise as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry and the European Journal of Psychiatry.

Sam is a co-founder of ThinkCol. As the Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Data Science Society, he promotes collaborative thinking with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. His work includes: Enterprise Risk Management Dashboards, Supply Chain Analytics, Social Media Analytics Assessment, and Churn Modeling, among others.
Before founding ThinkCol, Sam was a Senior Data Analytics Consultant at EY, and a Business Analyst at Arcadis. Sam completed his degree in Commerce, Finance, and Economics at the University of British Columbia.
